Let's go down to the pumpkin patch...

Graham has written his first song and loves to sing about the pumpkin patch. So it was only fitting this week that he got to go and visit a real pumpkin patch with Cole and some friends.

While my sister was out of town, we "babysat" her two sweet little baby girl shitzus whom we playfully refer to as the cousins. :) The little girls, Daisy Bella and Lola, had so much fun with Graham and Cole. Graham is especially fond of Lola and they had a great time together. He joined her for naps in her kennel and they ran and played all day. I am not sure who was more worn out at the end of the day, Cole or Lola! :)

I love the 4th of July. Next to Thanksgiving, it is probably my FAVORITE holiday. I guess it is because we get to be patriotic, grill out, eat popsicles and pop fireworks all in one day...how fun is that! We had a great 4th this year. We went to Glen Eagles Country Club in Plano and grilled out with some friends and then sat out on the golf course and watched a great fireworks show. Graham loved it and Cole really didn't think much of it this year. :) Happy 4th and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Fun Weekend!

We had a really fun weekend. We met the Koubas and the Stephens at the Stephens neighborhood pool and let the kids swim. It was quite the experience...we had six kids between us and managed to keep up with everyone and even enjoy a little picnic lunch...what an accomplishment for us all! Nana's Visit

Last weekend, I went out of town to visit my parents. They are in the process of building a house and everything is a little displaced, so I decided to leave the boys with Marc for the weekend. His Nana came to the house to help him out and hang out with the boys. She spent the night and I think they all had a blast! Thanks Marc and Nana for doing such a great job!!!

I have always loved this little saying that describes "what little boys are made of" and it is so very true. They can be mischievous and absolutely adorable and mischievous again all in a matter of minutes and I guess this is what makes little boys so much fun! Okay...so I haven't posted in a while and I think a few of my friends are going to disown me for it! I have, however, been keeping up with taking pictures and have many posts to work on. I do think that one of my favorites is going to be this one, though. Graham is going through such a great stage right now and has finally settled into the fact that Cole is here to stay. He is chatting so much and loves going down for his nap everyday with a new "costume." His favorite is some kind of hat, a book and his flashlight...which I have to go in and turn off once he is asleep to keep the batteries from going dead. He is so sweet and I love sneaking into his room and taking pictures of him in his creative disguises!

Cole doesn't dress up for naps, yet. I am sure he will since this seems to be a very "boy" thing to do. Boys are the best!!! :)

I can't believe our little Graham is 2! He had such a great party with family and friends. The plan was to go to the park, but weather did not cooperate and we had to move things to the house...of course, the kids didn't know the difference and they had fun playing on Graham's new playset (thank you Nanny and Paw Paw and Kaki and Papa :)) He had a great day with great friends and family, pizza and an ADORABLE cake that his mama thought up! :)

And so we finally update the blog...COLE HUDSON arrived on Thursday, February 7 at 12:43. He weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. He is a great baby...sleeps well, eats well, and does not cry alot. He and Graham have hit it off well and are now big buddies. Please enjoy the pics. Sorry they took so long to post!

It's "Big Boy Room" Time!!!

What a fun and exhausting day! It started off with me meeting my mom with Graham for the weekend so that Marc and I could work on his "big boy" room...even though his mom still thinks he is still a baby (and probably will until he is about 14!) :) While I was gone, Marc steam cleaned all the carpet in our house and even did our furniture because he knew this was something I really wanted done before Cole came. I am convinced more than ever that I have the best husband in the entire world...he has been such a trooper! We unloaded Graham's playroom (which is now his "big boy" room), organized toys, cleaned out two closets, set up an entire room with furniture and all the adorable accessories that go with and made trips to Lowe's, Walmart and Ikea all in about 10 hours...and we're done! The room looks fabulous and I am so thankful to be finished and for my sweet husband who did all of this work with a smile on his face!

We had a wonderful time in Weatherford at Lindsay's parents for Thanksgiving! We had lots of wonderful food, football, and rest! And we were so blessed to have a cold front come through just as we finished our meal and blanket the ground with a fresh snow!!! Happy Thanksgiving to each of you...

Just a couple of Sundays ago, Garrett and Ellie Addington joined us for a day at the park. We met Matt & Candace (our longtime friends from Weatherford) at a park in Denton and had a great time. The boys played hard, and Ellie was the princess relaxing with the gals (until Marc hit her on the head while throwing acorns with the boys)...

We had a great time at the Frisco Commons park today. He played hard, fed the fish, pet the animals, and got soaked in the fountain. This is a great park...an old farm that probably has about 200 acres of play space, pavillions, lakes and trails.

The Great State Fair of Texas

And so Graham made his second trip to the State Fair of Texas in two years. He had so much more fun this year. The petting zoo was the highlight of the trip...he wanted to touch and talk to every animal! He was captivated by Big Tex and he loved all of the rides. His favorite was the car ride in the General Lee. He bawled when it was over and he had to get out of the car. He enjoyed a part of a corny dog, a few bites of cotton candy, some of Mama's Lemon Chill, and nachos. More than anything, he was happy to spend the afternoon and evening with his friends (Katelyn and Noah) and family (though he was sad that his Mama couldn't ride any of the rides with him due to being pregnant). It was a wonderful time...and he fell asleep tonight before his head hit the pillow!

Graham had a fun time at the Flower Mound pumpkin patch today! He had a ball looking at all of the pumpkins (though he kept throwing them thinking they were balls). It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, so he really got to enjoy the trip with so many of his friends from church.

Well, Graham has been into a little bit of everything since the last post. He loved the Bounce House birthday party and he didn't love his costume for Fall Festival! We were so excited to be the guests of the Dallas Life Pregnancy Resource Center today. This wonderful ministry graciously gave us a sonogram of our little baby and the results were clear...Graham is having a baby brother! Cole Hudson Rylander is expected to arrive in February!!! Graham had such a fun time with his Pappaw. He got to play lots of ball and got to spend the morning at Cabela's. He loved the animals there and had a great time looking at all of the camo. Pappaw got him a Backyardigans ball and a Magna-Doodle that he loves. It was such a fun visit!!!

The New Deck

Marc is so excited about his new deck...his gift from mom and Graham for birthday #33! He and Lindsay's dad built the deck and then Marc ran electricity, installed lighting, and stained it. It is the perfect place for the grill...or as Marc says, to "hide out."

He had a great time at the Falls...playing in the water, riding the slides, eating a hot dog & a corny dog, and--of course--playing with Katelyn!

Two New "Activities"

We had to post these pictures from earlier this evening. We had quite the entertainer during and after dinner.

First, he decided after nearly 16 months of being fed, he would return the favor. While Dad was feeding Graham his "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" dessert, the eater turned into the server.

Then, after listening to music throughout dinner, upon exiting the high chair, someone decided that they would sing along and dance to the music. Song after song, he danced and laughed. And of course, his favorite dancing partner was his mom.

I wish we had video...but hopefully these pictures will capture the fun!

Fun Weekend

We had such a fun weekend. Marc and Lindsay's dad built a deck at the house on Saturday. Then after church on Sunday we celebrated Katelyn Kouba's 1st birthday with an old-fashioned backyard pool party. Enjoy the pics!

We are so blessed to share these pictures from our sonogram. Baby #2 is growing each day (the little bean inside the black area) and had a very strong heartbeat. The baby is 8 weeks along and has a due date around February 12th. Our gender sonogram will be in September...but we already love this little peanut and thank God for this wonderful gift of life.
